Do you know the New VAT rules in the EU?

On July 1, 2021, the new rules regarding VAT on online purchases in the European Union (EU) entered into force.

What changes?
If you sell and ship goods to consumers in another EU country, you should, register your business in that country and charge VAT at the rate applicable in that country, unless the total value of your sales in that country does not reach the limit set by the country.

What changes for companies?
Firstly, all goods below 22 euros are no longer exempt and are subject to VAT. Second, non-European companies that earn more than 10,000 euros will have to register on a website.
For companies, a significantly simplified method of declaration and payment has been introduced. The consumer will have to make sure that the total cost of the product ordered online as the VAT included in the final price.
